The Hanns Seidel Foundation in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation officially launched Civics Academy on the 10th of May. With South Africa’s Public Protector Thuli Madonsela giving the keynote address, the event achieved an impressive consensus that civic education is indeed a much needed dimension of South Africa’s democracy. more… 

Civics Academy is an online education initiative that provides free audio and video content on important aspects of citizenship and democratic governance. In partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Civics Academy recently hosted a Youth Dialogue event aimed at providing and facilitating the space to allow young people to debate questions critical in the current political context. more…
